Hardangerbadet – indoor swimming pool, Øystese: Reference objects

Introduction

Inspired by traditional building methods, the architects used slate stones and vertical timber cladding. Representative buildings in the area used to be roofed with slate rhomboids, because these look like a typical regional type of gingerbread. LINK Arkitektur reinterpreted the shapes of the traditional roof covering on the bank-side façade with blank 44 x 44 PREFA rhomboid facade tiles.
