Valley station for the Seiser Alm shuttle service in Italy: Reference objects

Introduction

The cable car service from Seis to the Seiser Alm has been given a new valley station which includes a shop and service and administration areas. The building took its inspiration from the proud massif of the Dolomite Mountains in the background. With irregular edges and crystalline surfaces, the edifice nestles harmoniously into the beautiful landscape. Depending on how the light falls, the huge aluminium façade sometimes appears strong and proud, and sometimes virtually invisible.
