Information
Aluminium does not rust. In addition, PREFA uses a special salt-water-resistant aluminium alloy on its gutters. If the surface becomes damaged, the plain aluminium reacts with oxygen to form a permanently protective oxide layer which protects the gutter from any further damage. Aluminium is also a fully recyclable material. It can be 100% recycled in an energy-efficient way, without loss of quality.

Technical information
The coating layer is malleable and protected against general chemicals and weather conditions. The coil-coating process is subject to strict quality controls.
In addition, the long-term behaviour is analysed in salt spraying, condensation and water immersion tests.
