Gällivare ice rink: Reference objects
Introduction
In Gällivare, temperatures can drop to as low as –30 °C in winter. This means that construction sites cannot be left idle for months on end. For the new ice rink, the architects at MAF needed a façade material that could be installed reliably even in extreme temperatures. They ultimately opted for the PREFA shingle façade.
With the large range of colours and additional special shades, the architects developed a lively, iridescent façade design. The PREFA aluminium façade combines robust functionality with an expressive design, making it a perfect fit for the long, flat building structure.

- P.10 oxide red
- P.10 brick red
- Special colour RAL 8012 (red-brown)
- Special colour RAL 3011 (brown-red)
